BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
- Demonstrate excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer skills to include the use of Gmail, Word and Excel as well as the ability to learn new applications
- Have good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Communication to appropriate party/ supervisors
- Conduct work responsibilities in quiet efficient manner
- Experience in a customer service role preferred
- General office experience preferred
- Understanding of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Provide outstanding hospitality for all residents, families, visitors, potential residents
- Welcome and support the hospitality of the Holland Christian Home community
- General administrative duties
- Work with both the staff and residents to secure smooth functioning of our Home
- Notify appropriate staff
- Support the Mission, Values and Vision of the Holland Christian Home
- Understand and honor the Christian principles of the organization
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Residential Living principles, including resident choice, privacy, independence, and dignity in all interactions with residents
- Demonstrate an understanding of the aging process, cognitive impairments, Alzheimer’s and other dementias
- Ensure all assigned user ID codes and passwords for accessing resident / facility information are kept confidential; ensure the departmental computer workstations left unattended are properly logged off or the password protected automatic screen-saver activates within established facility policy guidelines
- Report known or suspected incidents of fraud to the Administrator
- Report any known or suspected unauthorized attempt to access facility’s information system
- Maintain HIPAA compliance as well as confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee and operations data
- Exhibit concern for safety and well-being of staff, residents, families, and visitors
- Report regularly throughout work day to the Administrator/ Designee
- Maintain a pleasant home like environment while conducting responsibilities
- Answer external and internal phone calls
- Operate Visitor Management System with printing visitor badge
- Direct visitors / guest / vendors/ deliveries
- Assist residents with shredding
- Help stuff mailings, as need
- Provide directions
- Direct delivery’s- (FedEx, USPS, UPS) etc.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Assist with special projects when necessary
- Timely completion of all required in-services
- Must be present for at least one mandatory annual fire drill
- Must participate in annual N95 Fit Testing
- All other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned
