Receptionist Job Description
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
In a broad overview, the receptionist is to supervise and coordinate the activities of the dining rooms. The receptionist is the first impression of the Club, so it is important that they make a good one. Must look presentable at all times. The reception area must be kept clean and organized at all times.
Essential:
Check phone for reservations and messages.
Plan the seating chart and organize the reservations for both Jack’s and Gordon’s.
Check with manage to see if there any special functions or large parties.
Check with the Chef for specials and write on special boards.
Greet guests, escort them to their table, pull seat out for the ladies, and present menus, and assign server. Make sure server is aware of the table.
Give tours to nonmembers
Keep guests counts for the individual servers so things come out fair at the end of the shift.
Keep in constant contact with the servers and kitchen to make sure everything is running smoothly and no one is overwhelmed.
Keep an eye out that the dining room, entryway, and bathrooms are kept clean through the shift.
Non essential;
Make sure menus are wiped down, free of spots or stains, and complete.
Make sure entry doors are clean and inviting.
Stock social membership copies, menus, and business cards.
