Job Description Title: Receptionist
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Front desk face of the Company involving greeting visitors, handling mail, correspondence with FedEx and UPS pick ups and drop offs, etc.
- Answering Phones promptly and courteously, directing calls and relaying messages
- Handling company inquiries
- Assist other staff as needed
- Scanning, copying and filing paperwork efficiently and correctly.
- Assist with correspondence and handing out checks to vendors/subcontractors when needed
SKILLS/ REQUIREMENTS
- Strong operating skills with Microsoft Office Products such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be willing and able to cross-train to serve as backup to other positions in the office.
- Proficient in time management and prioritizing
- Strong attention to detail as well as organizational and multitasking skills
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional telephone skills in dealing with the customers and inter-company personnel.
- Maintain Confidentiality in regards to sensitive information and exhibit sound judgement
- Maintain a calm professional demeanor and work effectively even under high stress and significant pressure from both internal and external objectives
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
