Job Summary:
Patrick Industries, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of components, products and building materials serving different industries throughout the United States including RV, Manufactured Housing, Industrial and Marine segments. Patrick Industries-Custom Vinyls division is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing team in Waco, Texas as a Receiving Coordinator. Custom Vinyls manufactures laminated panels, wrapped molding and other interior components. This location is a strategic regional location to supply materials to the southern market. The Receiving Coordinatorwill encompass a hands-on role to oversee and work beside a small team of employees including warehouse team members, forklift operators and drivers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Through high organization and attention to detail, the Receiving Coordinator’s main responsibility will be to manage all in-bound materials. All shipments will need to be inspected and reviewed with the utmost accuracy and completed in an efficient manner. This position will require coordinating and communicating closely with all forklift operators, 3rd party drivers, Patrick’s purchasing team and Patrick’s inventory control team. Other key responsibilities will include managing receiving procedures and processes for all team members, driving organizational methods for all in-bound and warehouse material, high level of communication with both internal team members and outside drivers/contacts.
Main Responsibilities Include:
· Receive all in-bound shipments physically and within our inventory program – AX Dynamics
- Verify and inspect all in-bound shipments to ensure correct quantity, product and quality
- High level of communication is needed with receiving team and inventory control team to ensure all discrepancies and in-bound material issues are taken care.
- Managing and improve the in-bound receiving process, coach and train team members to ensure the process and procedures are being followed.
- Ability to drive a forklift to assist unloading in-bound trucks and move material into the warehouse.
- Ability to maintain high energy and a driven work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task multiple projects simultaneously to ensure efficient and accurate receiving.
- Ability to drive safety training and a safe work culture with a goal of 0 incidents.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Candidates must have 5+ years’ proven leadership experience managing a team in a fast-paced, industrial environment
- 3+ years’ experience working in a shipping/receiving department is mandatory
- Must have inventory experience including cycle counting and reconciliations
- Have experience operating a forklift and be willing to work with the team as necessary, including loading and unloading trucks as needed
- Be quality and detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with staff at all levels and in a team environment
- Self-Motivated, strong sense of urgency, organized, detail-oriented, solid judgment
- Ability to prioritize work tasks, multi-task, set priorities and stay focused
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and data entry skills
- The ability to stand for the duration of their shift with possible daily over time
- The ability to lift 40lbs. throughout entire shift and lift up to 75lbs. on occasion.
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions
- Basic math skills
