Position Summary:
We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated person in a Receiving Clerk position on first shift for someone with a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. If you take pride in your work and have a 'can-do' attitude, we want to talk with you! This role is vital to supporting the future growth of our business.
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of incoming material receipts to the company. The position coordinates the movement of received materials to the appropriate storage locations when the receipt/inspection processes are complete. The Receiving Clerk is a key position within the company and is routinely required to work effectively with personnel from Production, Accounting, Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing departments.
Receiving Clerk Responsibilities:
- Sign BOL paperwork for incoming shipments.
- Pull packing slip from incoming material.
- Identify and receive highly similar components according to measurements, written specifications, and supplier documentation.
- Physically verify supplier part counts prior to processing receipt transactions.
- Match packing slips to open purchase orders.
- Create inventory tags for items received.
- Tag and move preselected materials to Quality Hold area for inspection.
- Process receipt transactions in the ERP system.
- Work with Purchasing to create purchase orders for material being sent to outside process suppliers and assist in resolving documentation errors when required.
- Drive forklift to load and unload trucks as needed.
- Actively comply with Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Procedures.
- Ensure the highest level of process compliance and accuracy are maintained for all activities.
- Perform material cycle counts when required.
Qualifications for Receiving Clerk:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- 2 years of General Warehouse experience.
- Valid Alabama Driver license with satisfactory driving record required.
- Sit down propane forklift certification.

- Work takes place in a manufacturing plant with exposure to both cold and hot weather conditions.
- Exposure to traffic, dust, fumes, and loud noise that are routinely encountered in manufacturing plants.
- Exposure to vibration, airborne particles, petroleum distillates, toxic or caustic chemicals, dust, fumes, loud noises, and risk of electric shock. May be exposed to falls from elevated areas.
- May encounter occasional stressful situations.
- Work may include responding to critical customer driven situations which may result in working some weekends, holidays, and after normal business hours.

- Must possess general manual dexterity to operate computer, equipment, tools, controls, or other objects; reach with hands or arms.
- Must possess mental acuity for attention to accuracy and detail.
- Must see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Must hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
- Must be able to hear clearly when working around equipment and traffic.
Royal offers a competitive pay package that includes an hourly wage paid weekly and a production bonus paid monthly totaling $21.00 per hour. $19.00 per hour is paid weekly. The production bonus is paid monthly and pays a year-to-date average of $2.00 per hour.
