Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Overview:
We are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse, support services team, and professional services team. Additionally, this position will be responsible for some accounting functions by performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Shipping and Receiving Duties:
- Prepare purchase orders in the company PSA software and issue orders to vendors for needed materials, equipment and licensing while minimizing cost and working to make inventory receipts “just-in-time”
- Oversee fulfillment of Purchase Orders by receiving incoming shipments and verifying the accuracy of the contents
- Stage received materials for upcoming projects and service orders
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, labeling, and shipping directly to clients
- Maintain and fine-tune processes with existing vendors to strengthen the relationship and minimize errors
- Work with new vendors to onboard and set up ordering/shipping procedures and processes
- Deliver items, when necessary, to technical staff in the field
- Operate PSA software to update orders and alert team when items are staged

Accounting Duties:
- Prepare and submit customer invoices for sales and/or services rendered.
- Post customer payment by recording checks, credit card, and ACH transactions in QuickBooks
- Resolve discrepancies and/or customer concerns as they arise
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payments
- Assist Customer Service Manager, or others, by acting as a backup for answering operator, dispatch, and door-phone calls.
- Any other tasks delegated by Account Manager

Preferred Skills:
- Associate degree in accounting or in another business field is preferred
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Self-paced, self-directed personal discipline
- Well organized approach to organizing your day
- Ability to communicate clearly, directly, and professionally
- Flexibility to learn new concepts and technologies
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to lift at least 20lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
