Position Title: Receiver
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Compensation and Benefits:
· Wage range is $18 - $20 per hour

Position Summary:
The Receiver is responsible for processing, verifying, and keeping records of all incoming shipments. This position will coordinate and organize the inbound and outbound flow of freight at the docks while maintaining proper procedures and paperwork. The Receiver will also help to sort and send inbound equipment and raw materials to the proper departments/areas.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Follow safety policies and protocols; alerting others regarding potential concerns
· Uphold highest standards of food safety and product quality through observance of Good Manufacturing Practices; promptly report food safety and quality issues as necessary
· Responsible for receiving all inbound shipments
· Inspect incoming loads to ensure products or packaging are not damaged, and document as necessary
· Verify that received quantities and products correctly match their associated purchase orders
· Record receiving data in company systems
· Properly load and unload trucks
· Organize inbound unloading flow and staging area
· Responsible for organizing the equipment for optimized truck loading.
· Safely utilize warehouse tools & equipment including stand-up and sit-down forklift, pallet jack, box cutters, etc.
· Assist the Inventory Supervisor with “put-away” and proper “locating.”
· Maintain a clean work environment
· Reliable attendance and punctuality are basic necessary requirements of this position
· Perform other duties as required
Marginal Duties Performed Less Frequently:
· Assist with picking of raw materials and packaging for Production facilities
· Perform inventory cycle counts
· Learn and understand established metrics for department success
· Work overtime occasionally, as needed
Qualifications / Education / Experience Desired:
· HS Diploma or equivalent
· Ability to operate warehouse equipment; forklift (sit down and stand up), hand truck, pallet jack
· At least one years’ experience as a receiving clerk or similar position preferred.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including email, MS Word, and Excel
· Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working collaboratively within small and large, diverse teams
· Comfortable with fast-paced and dynamic work environment; Able to be moving throughout the workday.
· Great communication and interpersonal abilities
Language / Mathematical / Reasoning Ability:
· Ability to read, write, and understand documents in English, clearly and effectively
· Strong math skills required
· Solid organizational skills with strong attention to detail
· Ability to actively identify and prioritize work responsibilities.
· Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Supervision Given:
· This position will report to the Inventory Supervisor(s)
· The position holder is expected to be able to work with minimal oversight at times, able to confidently handle situations on their own, and manage a busy receiving and shipping schedule.
