Job Description
This team develops hardware and software solutions for proprietary programs for our client. We translate customer needs into detailed requirements for system integrated designs including system architectures for current operations and program growth, facility design, hardware selection, software selection and development, system integration, testing, and operations and maintenance (O&M).
You will be in an exciting, dynamic operational environment and partner with system collaborators and customers.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform system integration; hardware installation, software installation, configuration, and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.
Install, configure, and maintain multi platform systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
Plan, develop, design, integrate, and maintain all computer applications, including specialized applications specific to the program's objectives.
Plan and coordinate software and hardware for enterprise release.
Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives.
Evaluate system production readiness and supportability.
Perform the restoration of complex computing service operations.
Perform system problem identification and resolution.
Integrate security solutions into information systems.
Monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery planning.
Use knowledge of both Windows and Linux administration, or one and learn the other.
In order to meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years troubleshooting network problems.
3+ years with UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows development environment.
3+ years communicating with customer representatives regarding technical subjects, in a variety of forums, in both written and spoken form.
Experience writing technical documentation.
Must follow DoD 8570/8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 or higher (CCNA-Security, Security+ CE, CASP CE, CCNP, CISA, CISSP).
Experience with either DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) or Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
Experience and competency in troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving strategies to address simple to complex customer inquiries.
Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.
Education/Experience:
Typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
