Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Act as subject matter expert for Dynamics AX 2009 and provide leadership in architecting improvements and enhancements while supporting existing system. Point of contact for solution design, enhancement requests, and external integrations with various AX modules. Take lead role in planning and designing for future ERP migration project.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify configuration gaps in existing system and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Lead role in Dynamics AX project execution, supporting functional business areas.
- Perform testing and impact analysis of changes to production and processes.
- Advise on best practices that relate to system capabilities, configurations, enhancement requests, and changes.
- Utilize knowledge of business processes to provide guidance on existing systems, integrations, and future migration project.

- Support in manufacturing, business, and enterprise systems (operations technology vs information technology)
- Understanding of manufacturing industry business models, functions, processes, technology, and job roles within manufacturing environments
- Experience working in Finance and core logistical and manufacturing business processes such as Procurement, Sales, Distribution, Warehouse Management, Material and Resource Scheduling/ Planning.
- Experience with end-to-end performance and system integration testing
- Good knowledge of X++
- Project Management
- Demonstrates strong understanding of architectural issues and risks and factors them into decisions and recommendations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Manufacturing, 10+ years
- Dynamics AX Financials: 10+ years
- SSRS: 5+ years
- Ability to balance strategic and tactical responsibilities
- Ability to understand business needs and translate into solutions.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written; capable of tailoring messages in a clear, concise, unambiguous, engaging, and convincing manner, comprehensible to IT and business partners at all levels.
- Ability to collaborate and cultivate partnerships with Business and Technology colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving and consensus-building skills
- Data-driven strategic, and analytical
- Ability to multi-task and contribute to many projects in various stages of development across functions.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional registrations and certifications desired
- Process Safety Certification desired.
EDUCATION:
- Minimum Required: BS, Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology or related discipline. In lieu of degree, 10+ years relevant experience in analyst/architect role.
