Summary/Objective
H.A. Automotive is excited to hire a Quality Technician to join our team! This Quality Technician is responsible for assisting and supporting the manufacturing process and ensuring that proper production, inspection, gaging, containment, and certification processes are followed, with the goal of preventing the escape of nonconforming parts from reaching the next operation or escaping to the customer. The Quality Technician will ensure conformity to customer specifications and internal procedures, as well as IATF 16949:2016 requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Support all production processes regarding quality assurance
- Assure release and maintenance of production and inspection reports
- Conduct and monitor End of Line testing of final products
- Perform inspection audits across multiple stages of production
- Assist in the maintenance of calibrated devices and measuring equipment
- Complete incoming/outgoing inspection of products as required
- Assist in the identification of production and quality improvements
- Completion and maintenance of Layered Process Audits (LPA) as required
- Identify, quarantine, and communicate component defects and quality issues expeditiously
- Assist in addressing customer concerns and completion of corrective action reports
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- 2 or more years of working experience in quality assurance in automotive manufacture environment.
- Some technical training and/or college education highly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings (blueprints), control plans and work instructions
- Experience using measuring equipment and test devices (Electrical, mechanical, system, etc.)
- Capable of making decisions regarding product quality and part disposition
- Some knowledge of the industry quality standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and with others with minimal supervision
- Must be reliable, ready to learn, highly motivated and flexible
- Working knowledge of MS-Office software is must
