Quality Technician

QUALITY TECHNICIAN Position Overview:We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our  client’s team. This is a DIRCT HIRE opportunity.   The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our client’s products through thorough inspections and testing. Candidates with experience using equipment such as Keyence for part inspection are preferred. Our client is offering a competitive wage ranging from $16 to $20 per hour, with candidates at the $20 mark expected to have experience with Keyence equipment and exhibit a strong cultural fit. Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and testing of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Utilize measuring tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to perform dimensional inspections and verify product conformance.
• Operate equipment such as Keyence for part inspection, ensuring accurate and reliable measurement results.
• Document inspection results, deviations, and non-conformances accurately and thoroughly in inspection reports and quality records.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions to improve process efficiency and product quality.
• Participate in internal audits and quality assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality management systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including inspection stations and equipment, to ensure safety and efficiency in daily operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address quality concerns and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in quality control or related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and methodologies, including dimensional inspection and visual inspection.
• Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, to perform accurate measurements.
• Experience operating equipment for part inspection, particularly Keyence or similar optical measurement systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document quality issues accurately.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions effectively.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and principles, such as ISO 9001, is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in using Keyence equipment for part inspection and measurement.
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and statistical analysis techniques.
• Previous experience with quality management software or data analysis tools.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment.
