Purpose:
- Verify prototype and production part assemblies, fixtures, gauges, and material characteristics to part prints and specifications using various measuring instruments and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support prototype machining and assembly to verify parts/ assemblies are produced within design specifications.
- Support receiving inspection, prototype, and production departments with destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
- Perform annual component and assembly layouts per customer requirements.
- Perform any and all layouts required for product analysis from product test lab, supplier, and customer concerns.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas to create measuring processes to accurately verify conformance.
- Evaluate data and prepare reports, graphs, and charts as needed to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Verify accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, height gauges, and electrical and functional gauges.
- Compute unspecified dimensions and other data.
- Other duties and responsibilities within the technician's capabilities may be assigned as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education/ Knowledge
- High School diploma or GED, some college or associates preferred
- Must demonstrate ability to fully operate, setup, and/or program key measuring equipment
- Must demonstrate ability to fixture parts for manual or CMM measurement

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
