WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a Quality Service Inspector specializing in drilling motor and tools parts, your pivotal role revolves around maintaining the utmost standards of quality and reliability within the oil and gas service sector. You will meticulously scrutinize newly received parts for adherence to stringent specifications while critically evaluating the quality of reworked components, completed by third-party vendors. By ensuring that our equipment consistently meets exacting standards, your unwavering commitment to detail will contribute significantly to our operational success, product excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

  • Job Conduct thorough inspections of newly received drilling motor and tools parts to ensure they meet quality and specification requirements
  • Utilize precise measurement tools and visual inspections to assess the condition, dimensions, and material quality of incoming parts
  • Document inspection results and report any discrepancies or non-conformities to the relevant departments for resolution
  • Evaluate the quality of reworked drilling motor parts that have been serviced by third-party vendors
  • Verify that reworked parts meet the specified quality standards and are fit for reuse or further refurbishment
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, assessments, and findings
  • Generate detailed inspection reports, including photographs and technical data, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of quality documentation and procedures
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in parts inspection and quality assessment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements that enhance overall product quality and efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures during inspections to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to quality control and parts inspection

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in quality assurance or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience in quality inspection, preferably within the oil and gas service sector or a similar industry
  • Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, measurement tools, and quality control processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in using computer applications for documentation and reporting
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and components, up to 25 pounds
  • Abilitiy to operate basic office equipment
  • Sit and/or stand for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours a day
  • Walk/travel to production areas while wearing appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), which at a minimum includes safety glasses but could also include steel toe shoes/boots and other PPE
