The Quality Assurance Final Inspection and Test Specialist works with QA, Engineering, and manufacturing to ensure products meet all applicable specifications per workmanship and executes final documented Acceptance Test Procedures. Further, the Specialist supports Operations and Engineering meeting business goals and customer expectations.
- Ability to complete a wide variety of complicated inspection procedures and Tests.
- Compiles, tabulates, and summarizes test and inspection data.
- Maintains appropriate records relating to quality in order to quantify progress against established goals.
- Interface with Planning, Engineering, Operations, and others
- Tests and records performance of electromechanical assemblies using standard test instruments such as AC and DC power supplies, test harnesses, oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, stroboscopes, fluid pressure gauges, etc.
- Verifies and records dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, etc.
- Tests and records performance of electromechanical assemblies using specialized air flow measurement and acoustic/structure borne noise tools in a laboratory environment.
- Leads or Participates in Problem Solving Teams on Root Cause Analysis
- May perform FAI's to determine conformance to specified requirement
- Identify, contain, and document nonconforming material (NCR)
- Interface with customer source inspectors and coordinate product acceptance.
- Assist Manufacturing personnel to ensure that all products and workmanship meet the respective standards.
- Read prints, drawings, sketches, specifications, packing sheets. Comprehend other written and verbal technical instructions.
- Recommend changes to processes based upon findings.
- Knowledge of AS9100 standard and its requirements
- Report department metrics to management as required
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements For Consideration:

- Degree or certificate in Engineering/Electronics related field or Equivalent Industry experience with HS Diploma
- Basic computer knowledge including MS Excel and Word. Oracle experience is a plus.
- Interpret drawing requirements/specs and geometric dimensions and tolerances
- Understanding of electricity and ability to troubleshoot wiring and circuitry within an electromechanical system. Must be hands-on capable.
- Knowledge of electric motors and fans is a big plus.
- Ability to set up and utilize electronic test and diagnostic equipment
- Manufacturing Electronics and/or Quality Control experience, minimum one year.
- Continuous periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and phone.
- Must be able to occasionally lift 25 pounds at a time.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands.
- Able to work overtime and occasional weekend hours as required.
