Reports to:Quality Assurance Manager
Salary Status: Hourly - Non-Exempt
Summary/Objective:
Quality Assurance III reports to Quality Assurance Manager. Quality Assurance III is responsible for executing QA operations and overseeing junior team members, evaluate, and review operations on the floor, observation of activities, issue identification/ resolution including proper and timely documentation. Shows leadership and managerial skills.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Review and Monitor OQE
- Lead QA while conducting onsite inspections
- Conducts Internal Audits (After Internal Auditor Certification)
- Skillful in Blueprints
- Work Instruction Developer
- Issue Internal CARs and conducts Root Cause Analysis.
- Develops and follows TIPs, OQE and NMD.
- Process Control Procedure develop/complete/close.
- Becomes NDT Level II Visual
- Able to Train

Education / Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must possess an excellent knowledge of ship repair procedures and test requirements.
- Excellent (English) verbal and written communication skills
- Must be capable of independent, complex analysis, concept formation, and new method identification.
- Must possess in depth knowledge of quality related contract documentation.
- Must have direct experience in conducting reviews of work specification items, NAVSEA Standard Items, and other contract documentation to ensure all Testing and Inspection requirements are implemented and maintained within the TIP.

- Microsoft Office 4 years
- Quality Control 4 years
Work Environment: This job operates in an office and a shipyard work environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position requires 40+ hours of work per week. M-F 0600 - 1430 (or as otherwise assigned by QA Manager) with pre-scheduled overtime as needed.
Travel: This position does not require ability to travel.

The physical demands for this position are light to moderate. This position requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires the ability to walk over uneven surfaces and occasionally climb ladders and other ship elements.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
- Completion of a satisfactory background check
- Passing a drug test and physical examination
- Eligibility to work in the US.
- Obtaining DBIDS level security clearance.
- OSHA 10 Maritime
- Shipyard Competent Person (Preferred)
