Job Description
Assists with the operations of the Quality/Engineering Support group, including project scheduling, process control, planning test programs, design, process control, maintenance, calibration, and repair of test equipment and fixtures.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops and documents detailed procedures for the control of purchased or manufactured products.
- Researches, devises and develops improved technical methods and procedures.
- Supports and complies with company's ISO-9001 policies
- Plans and collects data on capability studies, control charts or other statistical methods, and analyzes results.
- Analyzes statistical data from capability studies or other quality techniques and confers with product, applied engineering, manufacturing engineering or manufacturing management to institute changes or to recommend improvements as necessary.
- Works towards the resolution of customer’s complaints or problems or returned materials and initiates corrective actions to preclude recurrences.
- May plan and conduct quality system audits to determine to adequacy of the system for controlling quality. Initiates and follows up on the establishment of necessary corrective actions to remedy any non-conformance.
- Reviews, as required, specifications in customers purchase orders or related documents, to determine the ability of the company to meet their requirements and, as applicable, invokes steps or procedures to assure compliance.
- Completes documentation for customer requirements as required.
- Collects, analyzes and presents quality trends data aiming at the control and reduction of quality costs and defect rates.
- Propose new methods for cost savings and continuous quality improvements.
- Participating in technical discussions with suppliers or internal customers to identify and implement improvements in products and processes.
- Providing ongoing quality system support including performing internal audits and ensuring implementation of root cause corrective actions.
- Communicating clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and customers, as required.
- Ensuring compliance to all Global and local processes .
- Performing 8D’s as directed
- Must be able to provide proof of US citizenship.

The Individual
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline is preferred but not required.
- Minimum five years’ experience in Quality Engineering duties is required.
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills and be able to write and edit comprehensive technical/quality reports.
- Must be a US Citizen
