Job Description
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer drives continuous improvement in the manufacturing and production operation to ensure products meet customer satisfaction and quality goals. A strong focus on continuous improvement, lean principles, communication across various levels in the organization, and training and development are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality objectives in order to maximize product reliability through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Handle inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products involved in daily processes.
- Determine information needed for non-conforming products such as scrap, rework, etc.
- Review quality procedures for new product introductions.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues that arise from vendors and customers.
- Ensure machinery and equipment are set up correctly and proper measurements are adhered to.
- Maintain compliance requirements by agencies; participate in quality audits.
Requirements:
- Four-year educational degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
- Manufacturing experience in a high-volume setting.
- Continuous improvement, LEAN, and/or Six Sigma knowledge.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies preferred.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including Microsoft Excel.
