Manufacturing Quality Engineer

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer drives continuous improvement in the manufacturing and production operation to ensure products meet customer satisfaction and quality goals.  A strong focus on continuous improvement, lean principles, communication across various levels in the organization, and training and development are essential. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain quality objectives in order to maximize product reliability through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Handle inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products involved in daily processes.
• Determine information needed for non-conforming products such as scrap, rework, etc.
• Review quality procedures for new product introductions.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues that arise from vendors and customers.
• Ensure machinery and equipment are set up correctly and proper measurements are adhered to.
• Maintain compliance requirements by agencies; participate in quality audits.

 Requirements:

• Four-year educational degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
• Manufacturing experience in a high-volume setting.
• Continuous improvement, LEAN, and/or Six Sigma knowledge.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies preferred.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, including Microsoft Excel.
