JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Quality Control Supervisorto join our growing team.
The Opportunity
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Quality Supervisor to join our team. The Quality Supervisor will ensure the highest level of product quality and drive quality improvement initiatives throughout our organization. This role is pivotal in enhancing product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct product quality assessments and inspections to identify defects and deviations from established quality standards.
- Develop and implement Quality Control procedures and protocols to ensure consistent product quality.
- Lead/collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Lead and facilitate the development of quality-related documentation, such as standard operating procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Perform risk assessments and assist in the development of risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics, providing regular reports to management noting trends, recommending areas of focus, improvement strategies, and potential standard work changes as examples.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement, presenting findings to the leadership team.
- Develop and maintain a culture of Quality by developing/providing training and coaching to employees.
- Track and report on the progress and impact of Quality initiatives.
Quality Assurance:
- Assist in developing and maintaining the quality management system (QMS) in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits from regulatory bodies or customers. Share findings with appropriate teams noting areas of focus for improvement or sustainment.
- Ensure that all quality-related documentation and records are accurately maintained and accessible.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes, updating processes and procedures accordingly.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with sales, production, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of quality initiatives.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on quality-related matters to all departments.
- Serve as a liaison between the quality department and other functional areas to drive alignment and effective communication.
Other:
- Comply with company policies and support company activities that improve competitive financial performance, regulatory compliance, and community acceptance.
- Travel: Some travel may be required.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's or Associate Degree in a related field and one (1) to three (3) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the window and door industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, to be determined by plant management.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and root cause analysis.
- Proven experience in quality roles within a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
- Experience with quality-related software tools and systems.

Expected pay for this role is between $67,500.00 to $112,500.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
