Job Purpose
To ensure that all products that are manufactured by General Nuclear Corp are free of defects/deviations and meet all testing and inspection requirements for both military and commercial applications.
Principal (Essential) Duties
1. Read drawings/blueprints.
2. Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure that components meet required specifications and drawings with inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, thread gages, optical comparator, CMM, etc.
3. Accept or reject in process/finished components
4. Perform hardness testing in accordance with required specifications and procedures.
5. Perform alloy identity testing in accordance with required specifications and procedures.
6. Complete inspection/testing certifications.
Secondary Duties
1. Perform cleaning in accordance with required specifications and procedures.
2. Complete part identification marking
3. Complete non-conformance reports for items that do not meet contract requirements.
4. Complete specific individual projects as assigned by the Quality Control manager.

Experience/ Education Requirements
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. United States citizen
3. Proficient technology skills including ability to use:
a. Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Access)
4. Ability to work 40 hours per week required
5. Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle required
Working Conditions/ Physical Demands
1. Low to moderate physical activity – may require standing for up to 8 hours.
2. Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
3. See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
4. Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
