As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Quality Control / Product Release Inspector for our HYMAC division.
Essential Functions:
- Function and operate as the "eyes & ears" of Quality on the shop floor for the QCMR and SS
- Incoming material inspection (purchased and Customer supplied)
- Incoming repair inspection (does not include chrome)
- Draw/sketch items requiring disassembly machining (ie. Retube, Rerod)
- Draw/sketch items being fabricated when HYMAC has possession of the failed item
- Take pictures of incoming items to document the "as received"
- Calibrations
- Track and Monitor Calibrations
- Identify TMME in need of calibration
- Maintain control over TMME
- All Repair Product Release
- Release product for shipment
- Release product between repair stages (perform first article, in-process and release inspections)
- Reject non-conforming product back to repair
- Make minor repair for Product Release
- Dye Penetrant all structural welds (ie: rod eyes, can eyes, joining of parts... )
- Ensure adherence to customer require 'scope of work'
- Write and update Product release 'checklists' needed beyond the generic QC form
- Initiate Request for Concession, as needed
- Mid Product realization inspections
- First item inspection (multiple item quantities)
- Lot Check minimum (5) chrome rods per week
- Non-Conform product identification (segregate and start NCR Procedure)
- Monthly Building inspection
- CAT Contamination Control
- Track Preventative Machine Maintenance
- Assist in continuous safety, health, and environment improvements
- Identification
- Maintain the identification of shop staging areas
- Identify all racking and ensure items are in proper locations
- Identify and "tag' all shop items
- Ensure all 'jobs' have work order traveler and items are identifiable
- Unload
- Stock Material
- Customer Drop Offs
- Night Run
- Stock material protected against damage (to include environmental)
- Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant inspection (All level II NDT)
- Work independently to continuously identify, mark, tag, and note problems
- Initiate NCR
- Initiate CAR (evaluate failures and recommend solutions)
- Recommend adjustments to procedures and work instructions
- Initiate PAR
- Monitor the repair cycle of shop jobs
- Operations Checked off
- Any additional operations needed (not included on original work order)
- Perform and complete additional projects as assigned
- Maintain control over weld Consumables
- Inventory
- Storage
- Use and maintain various types of measuring equipment
- Read Blue Prints
Perform additional duties as required / needed to ensure the continuous flow of staged work through the shop
