Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Quality Compliance department is looking for a passionate, experienced, and highly motivated Quality Compliance Budget Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is data collection, summarization and reporting for the Quality Compliance group.

In addition to the administration of all financial accounting, including recoveries and payments for the department, in this position you will communicate with (TMNA) Toyota Motor North America management, Japan staff, (TMC) Toyota Motor Corporation, field organization, department/divisional affiliate team members, external representatives, vendors as well as dealership associates.

Reporting to the Quality Compliance, Campaign Performance & Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Quality Compliance department’s objective of ensuring product quality, customer satisfaction, brand loyalty, and repeat purchase of Toyota/Lexus vehicles.

What you’ll be doing

• Administer the Quality Compliance Department financial budget in two department identification numbers.
• Perform monthly analysis of Quality Compliance Department expenditures/recoveries to assure a balanced budget and conformance to plan.
• Continuously improve and develop the Quality Compliance budget tracking system to assure a more timely and accurate view of department financial status.
• Organize, document, submit, and track all invoices for Safety Recalls, Special/Limited-Service Campaigns, Warranty Enhancement Programs, Pre-Delivery Corrections, Replacement Vehicle Identification Program, and overall department expenses.
• Analyze, prepare, and process reimbursement submission for all recoveries related to Safety Recalls, Special/Limited-Service Campaigns, Warranty Enhancement Programs, Pre-Delivery Corrections, Replacement Vehicle Identification Program, and other department receivables.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Consumer Information requirements by assuring that Consumer Information Pamphlets for sport utility and truck models are available at Toyota and Lexus dealerships.
• Administer Toyota and Lexus replacement vehicle identification program (compliance with Federal Theft Prevention Standard and for customer satisfaction), which includes receiving, recording, researching, requesting, producing, forwarding, and/or billing for vehicle identification (certification label and/or VIN plate) requests from approximately 1,400 Toyota and Lexus dealerships.

What you bring

• Associate's degree (or higher) in either Accounting or other finance related field.
• Experience in accounting, budgeting, or similar finance related field.
• Comprehensive understanding of general accounting principles including purchase requests, invoice processing and budget administration/forecasting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data presentation skills.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with basic data analysis and visualizations.

Added bonus if you have

• Understanding of (TMS) Toyota Motor Sales financial systems: Ariba, SAP, etc.
• Familiarity with TMS internal operations (e.g., Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Information Systems, etc.).
• Experience with report design & development.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Experience in Toyota/Lexus dealership operations, particularly service and parts departments.
• Bilingual Proficiency (Spanish Preferred)
