Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality and Compliance Manager to join our team. As a Quality and Compliance manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company operates in accordance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. Your role will involve conducting quality inspections, managing compliance projects, and implementing quality systems to maintain the highest level of quality assurance.

Job summary

The Quality and Compliance Manager will play an essential role in ensuring that the company's internal policies, procedures, and practices adhere to regulatory standards and promote operational excellence. They will supervise the quality of our internal billing and accounting processes, and help formulate standard operating procedures (SOPs) that underscore our commitment to Quality and Compliance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. :

- Monitor and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to the clinical laboratory domain.

- Keep updated with any changes in regulations and guidelines that impact the laboratory operations.

- Review, update, and implement internal policies to align with the best practices and regulatory requirements.

2. :

- Oversee and monitor the quality of internal billing and accounting processes to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

- Periodically review internal processes to identify areas of improvement.

- Coordinate with different departments to implement quality checks.

3. :

- Assist in creating, reviewing, and updating SOPs for various operational aspects of the laboratory.

- Ensure that all SOPs are followed correctly and consistently across the organization.

- Conduct training sessions for staff on SOPs to ensure complete understanding and adherence.

4. :

- Organize periodic internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs.

- Address any non-compliance issues identified during audits, and work towards rectifying them in a timely manner.

- Prepare and present detailed compliance and quality reports to senior management.

5. :

- Oversee integration testing, including creating test cases, performing system integration testing, and facilitating user acceptance testing.

- Develop, test, and deploy integration solutions, ensuring data accuracy, security, and Compliance with healthcare standards (like HL7 or SFTP).

- Collaborate with the LIMS and EMR teams to understand the technical requirements, workflows, and data structures of each system.

6. :

- Work closely with department heads and managers to cultivate a culture of compliance and quality throughout the organization.

- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, to ensure the company's operations remain transparent and compliant.

7. :

- Identify the need for, and facilitate, training sessions for staff on compliance matters and quality standards.

- Stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices to ensure that the training provided to staff is current and relevant.

8. :

- Promptly address any compliance-related issues or concerns raised by employees, patients, or external stakeholders.

- Implement corrective measures and prevent recurrence of any compliance violations or quality lapses.

9. :

- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback from staff and implementing best practices in compliance and quality.

Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in quality management and Compliance
- Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and processes
- Ability to fabricate and implement effective quality systems
- Project management skills to oversee compliance projects from start to finish
- Excellent analytical skills to analyze data and identify areas for improvement
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
