Summary
The primary objective of this position is to ensure that all administrative needs for the Quality Assurance department are met, to be able to provide customer service in the form of correct and proper documentation for our sales staff and customers. Position will be responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Director, QA & Regulatory Affairs, QA Manager, and QA supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Clear purchased products in Oracle System and resolve conflicts in specifications
- Set up and reassign customer item specifications in Oracle
- Develop, modify and post controlled documents and communicate updates to Sales & Customer Service
- Analyze and fulfill customer documentation requests via email or customer portal to proactively address customer documentation needs
- Develop and solidify value added customer relations by forwarding inquiries to the appropriate departments
- Manage product certifications: Non-GMO, kosher and/or halal
- Review and approve supplier documents to support the approved supplier program and plant certifications (BRC, Kosher, Halal, and Organic)

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor of Science degree preferred with a food science background and/or 4 years minimum of experience in similar position required.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have developed office skills, computer experience and competence of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and Outlook). Advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database skill required. Knowledge of Oracle, Salesforce, and Tracegains software is not required, but advantageous.
