Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary: $110,400 - $160,600

Reports to: Director of Operations

Location: Onsite.

KULR Technology Location: Houston

Travel: Frequent travel required between local work locations.

Position Overview:

The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing a culture of Quality and continuous improvement. This individual will be responsible for implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 program from the ground up. The Quality Manager supports KULR’s quality objectives and contractual quality requirements in a team-based environment, adhering to program cost and delivery schedules.

This role implements policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards, monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations and identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes. This position optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements.

Functions:

  • Identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes that comply with regulatory requirements
  • Drives ISO Management Review process and coordinates ISO audits.
  • Ensure the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to client, internal, and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Implement new standards, including acquiring required training and resources, and assisting and coordinating the creation of policies and procedures.
  • Plan and lead external and/or client quality audits and manage the internal audit program, ensuring all functional areas are audited annually.
  • Establish and implement metrics/KPIs for monitoring system effectiveness.
  • Ensure that all identified non-conformances are corrected with undue delay, coordinating corrective actions and preventative actions, as required.
  • Ensures that all Corrective, Preventive, and Improvement Action Requests are assigned, investigated, completed and effective.
  • Educate and train employees as to their impact in the quality management system and their responsibilities regarding the QMS.
  • Develop and implement learning and development activities to drive continuous improvement through the Quality function.
  • Interfaces with supplier and client quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Screens applications, interviews candidates, and recommends individuals for hiring.
  • Trains and assigns work to new and continuing employees.
  • Delegates tasks and provides effective direction to team members to produce business results.
  • Independently conducts frequent performance feedback weekly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Makes recommendations for salary increases, merit increases and reclassifications.
  • In conjunction with HR, determines corrective action as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience minimum in Quality Assurance experience with at least 3-5 years focused on federal contracting.
  • 1 - 3 years supervisory experience, minimum.
  • Experience managing an ISO 9001 certified QMS
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in DOD and aerospace electronics manufacturing standards and requirements.
    • ISO Leader Auditor Certificate.
    • Knowledge of electronic processes and components.
