Job Objective: The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for the following principal accountabilities: all activities and initiatives concerning quality and sourcing in coordination with various departments (e.g. engineering, buyers, manufacturing, vendors, customers, etc.) to which you will be responsible for spearheading all efforts related to the quality department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operation.
- Design, implement and improve company quality standards.
- Analyze data and use Total Quality Management (TQM) tools to detect and eliminate errors in processes.
- Maintain all related quality certifications, i.e. ISO and others
- Training, motivating, coaching, and correcting employees to ensure that standards are met.
- Vendors
- QA/QC evaluation of vendors & incoming parts/components.
- Perform inspections and maintain records of all supplier provided material.
- Manage out of conformance parts and mitigate vendor issues.
- Internal QA/QC
- Design and implement QA/QC procedures for all equipment builds and testing procedures.
- Maintain field and customer reported quality and performance issue logs.
- Work with Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales to remedy any customer and field support issues.
- Formulate strategies to build quality into processes.
- Review processes to ensure that they align with current trends.
- Create reports to track progress, metrics and performance on quality.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities Requirements
Education Requirements
- Associates, Bachelor's degree preferred – equivalent work experience also acceptable.
- 2-10 Years of Quality Control/Quality Assurance or equivalent Quality experience
Experience:
- Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards (ISO 9001:2015)
- Experience implementing ISO process and 5S philosophy
- Manage multiple sets of documentation supporting projects, manufacturing and processes in fast-paced environment
- Experienced using key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Light manufacturing experience – engineering design, bill of materials management, manufacturing floor revision management
- Electronics, electrical certification (Hazloc), piping, tubing, conduit, welding knowledge a plus
- Strong understanding of petrochemical, refining, steel, and general heavy industries a plus
- Customer service experience a plus
- Sage, SAP or other ERP and process control systems knowledge a plus

Compensation: 95,000 - 110,000
