A growing Japanese food manufacturer in Orange County seeks a Quality Assurance Manager with bilingual skills in Japanese and English. This is a direct hire opportunity offering great benefits.

Requirements of the Quality Assurance QA Manager:
- Speak, read, and write in Japanese
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
- Strong leadership experience and communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Versatile team-player
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance QA Manager:
- Manage QA staff to meet quality goals
- Manage food safety as SQF practitioner and PCQI
- Develop food standards and production specifications according to food safety standards, such as HACCP, Food Defense Program, FSMA, SQF
- Evaluate food ingredient content and packaging materials and check with specification sheets according to standards including food safety certificates, material lists, allergen, microbiological standards or classifications (non-GMO, Vegan, Kosher, Organic)
- Direct application of food science and safety knowledge to determine procedures to process, package, preserve, store, and distribute the finished product including price, delivery terms, MOQ, patent
- Develop table test, lab test, production test, quality test for new product development
- Develop Quality Control Processing Sheets, Cost Analysis, and other documentation
- Research CFR, state regulations, and/or other related regulations
- Oversee routine internal audits as well as 3rd party and customer audits
- Supervise annual training of GMPs, SQF, Food Defense, Allergen Control, HACCP, etc.
- Monitor food safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and maintain, review, and control R&D and QA documentations
- Perform root cause analysis of errors and discrepancies
- Track goals and progress reporting to management and stakeholders
- Help develop materials to support efforts at foods shows and/or client meetings
- Attend food shows as necessary
- Other related duties as assigned
