Quality Assurance Engineer - Redmond, Wa

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is actively seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for an 11-month contract position with the potential for contract extension or conversion. This position will work onsite in Redmond, WA.
Schedule: 100% onsite role
9am-6pm PST, 40 hrs/wk is the preferred shift.
Looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who will be testing iOS and Android mobile applications. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, detail-oriented, and has a knack for breaking software. QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers, User Experience Designers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
Basic Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of industry experience testing software, including mobile applications.
• Experience writing test plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle.
• Proficiency in test methodologies, scripting, and problem solving. Understands test approaches; knows when/not to apply.
• Proficiency with writing and optimizing test plans, automated solutions, and QA metrics.
• Experience with Kotlin, Java, and/or SwiftUI is desired, but not required.
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as NJAI/Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.

Compensation: $54.00 per hour
