You are a curiosity driven, have impeccable attention to detail, and customer focused person who has experience identifying and effectively communicating issues. This role is assigned to the central services organization, that is responsible for building a suite of game services, and products that every game developed and published by Amazon Games will leverage. As a member of the Quality Assurance team, you will become an expert in a suite of shared service that supports all of our games and assure it meets our high quality standards. You will be expected to define the test strategy and test plan for this service and its ecosystem, create test reports, effectively use test tools, and work with player data to uncover new issues and more.
Key job responsibilities
The QAE in this role is responsible for defining and executing the Test Strategy for a shared service product that supports the Amazon Games portfolio. They need to consider functional, integration, performance and automation test coverage in their strategy. They would own the Test Plan and expand the test suites that are run for each iteration of the product. They would work closely with the development team to ensure issues are escalated and QA sign-off is met in time for major deliverables. They would partner with the QA Lead for Shared Services and Websites and the SDET assigned to the same project. They would also define and assign test execution tasks to a small team of testers and would incorporate issues and feedback into consistent test reports.

Our QA team is small, but growing as our games portfolio expands over the next few years. Our feature ownership touches every game in the org, so there are a lot of teammates to meet and collaborate with, and a lot of interesting, scalable problems to solve!

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
- 2+ years of overall software QA/development experience
- 1+ years working in the Gaming Industry supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops
- 1+ years experience developing and executing high-quality test plans
- 1+ years experience in scripting, user-level test automation and performing white-box testing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of video games, game services and digital entertainment
- Demonstrated ability to improve test coverage and effectiveness
- Experience testing across a variety of platforms (PC, console, mobile, etc.)
- Experience with specialized and technical testing. Examples include security, network protocols, multiplayer features, stress and performance testing, or publisher certification
- ISTQB (or equivalent qualification) a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $91,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
