About the Opportunity
Synthesis Health is looking for a stellar quality assurance manager to design and develop quality standards for our technical products, design quality tests to ensure the product meets quality standards, document procedures, and collaborate with the software development team to improve the deployment of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development of Quality Standards
- Collaborates with software development, product teams, and upper management to design and develop quality benchmarks aligned with industry standards and customer expectations.
- Identifies quality control processes to ensure criteria are consistently met.
- Develops or specifies standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.
- Identifies, analyzes, and documents problems with program function, output, online screens, or content.
Test and Automation
- Executes tests to ensure final product adheres to company standards.
- Develops testing programs addressing database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, etc.
- Updates automated test scripts and maintain databases of known test defects.
- Documents test procedures for replicability and compliance with standards.
- Plans test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
Debug and Deployment
- Analyzes bugs and errors found during tests and test system modifications for implementation.
- Monitors bug resolution efforts and document software defects.
- Investigates customer problems referred by technical support.
- Evaluates or recommends software for testing or bug tracking.
- Monitors program performance to ensure efficient operations.
Documentation and Collaboration
- Records findings and relay information to the production team.
- Documents test results for the software development team.
- Brainstorms ideas to increase productivity and performance while maintaining quality.
- Motivates the development process for efficiency and performance.
- Collaborates with software developers to enhance and improve programs.
- Maintains updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
Process Improvement
- Oversee production to ensure conformity in final product processing.
- Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field.
- Five years of experience working in software development and testing quality or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- High proficiency in computer technology and programming languages.
- In-depth understanding of Java, Python, SQL, C++, and XML.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Great team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable with extended computer usage.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is paid in the currency of the country where the individual is hired. For this position, the salary range is 85k - 120k USD or CAD.
