Support Center - Irving
As a QA Lead for Automation Testing, you will lead the quality assurance process and Automation Testing efforts for our digital platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software or products as per business expectations for our front end and back-end applications.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive test automation strategy, including tool selection, framework design, and implementation.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework) and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
- Lead and mentor a team of Automation testers, providing guidance and training.
- Design and implement test automation frameworks to support continuous testing and integration processes.
- Manage and maintain test data sets required for automated testing, ensuring data accuracy and availability.
- Oversee the execution of automated test suites, analyze test results, and identify defects and issues.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to set up and maintain test environments suitable for automation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure early and frequent testing of code changes.
- Generate and maintain automated test reports and documentation, providing insights into test coverage and quality metrics.
- Regularly update and enhance automated test scripts to accommodate changes in the software or product.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage by identifying critical areas for automation and providing recommendations.
Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Minimum Education
- 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree
Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills
- Proven experience in automated testing including test script development and test framework design.
- Expertise in automating test cases for large scale web applications including front end and backend.
- Strong programming skills in languages commonly used for test automation, such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium (for mobile apps), Cypress, Robot Framework, or others specific to the technology stack being tested.
- Understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for testing web applications.
- Knowledge of RESTful and/or SOAP APIs, and tools like Postman or REST Assured for API testing.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries to verify data integrity and interaction with the backend.
- Understanding of best practices in test automation, including test script organization, maintainability, and scalability.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Bit bucket pipelines etc.
Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires
- Test automation experience
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent experience
