Qa Lead - Performance Testing

As a QA Lead - Performance testing, you will lead the quality assurance process and Performance Testing efforts for our digital platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and reliable software or products for our front-end and back-end applications.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive performance test plan, including test objectives, scope, and strategies.
• Create realistic performance test scenarios that simulate various usage patterns, load levels, and user behaviors for front end experiences and backend APIs.
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts and automated test frameworks to streamline testing processes.
• Ensure that test environments are configured to accurately replicate production conditions.
• Conduct load, stress testing to evaluate how systems perform under expected and peak loads, identifying performance bottlenecks and scalability issues.
• Set up performance monitoring tools to collect and analyze real-time data during testing to identify performance anomalies.
• Generate comprehensive performance test reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights into system behavior.
• Evaluate the system's ability to scale horizontally or vertically to meet growing demands.
• Collaborate with development teams to recommend performance optimizations and code enhancements based on test results.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to provide clear and concise information on Performance Testing progress and issues.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Minimum Education

• 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

• Proven experience in Performance Testing and analysis
• Proficiency in using Performance Testing tools such as Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Performance Testing methodologies, including load testing, stress testing, scalability testing, and endurance testing.
• Strong scripting or programming skills in languages commonly used for creating performance test scripts, such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or others.
• Ability to simulate a realistic load on the application using Performance Testing tools to evaluate its response times and resource utilization.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring and profiling tools to identify bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other performance issues.
• Understanding of server configurations and infrastructure components to assess their impact on application performance.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google cloud, or AWS/Azure for conducting performance tests in cloud-based environments.
• Knowledge of how distributed systems and microservices architecture affect application performance and the ability to test them accordingly.
• Proficiency in database Performance Testing and SQL query optimization to identify database-related performance issues.
• Ability to generate and manage test data for performance tests, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Expertise in executing performance tests, analyzing results, and identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizations.
• Ability to generate detailed performance test reports and document findings for stakeholders.

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

• Performance testing experience
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent experience

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior testers.
