Purchasing Agent based in Orange County, Calif. This highly-visible role will support annual spend. The majorityof the role will support purchasing, a small partof the role will support production planning/scheduling. Keys to success--- Determine purchasing requirements from: Inventory order points Specific requirements for a customer order Requisitioned by Operations Management Plan, execute & manage PO s from varied sources. Industrial standard hardware & components from commercial sources Industry specific components from defined sources Major component, specialty metal fabrications from 2-3 primary sources o Manage orders from defining or capturing requirement through procurement, shipping & receiving. Primary communicator with specialty fabrication vendors. Daily/weekly information flow on orders, schedules, shipping details, etc. Communicate & coordinate with Project Management regarding schedules & order maintenance thru MRP. Ideal background will include-- Purchasing industrial & fabricated parts, components & materials. Placing PO s, process transactions, receiving, maintenance of system records, planning material requirements. Base salary up to $110k/yr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance.
