```Job Overview:``` We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team. We are a custom Architectural casework shop. As a Purchasing Agent, you will play a crucial role by having a firm understanding of company product lines, equipment, and computerized woodworking machinery and assembly standards. Your primary responsibility will be to negotiate and secure contracts with vendors, monitor inventory levels, and maintain accurate records of purchases. If you have a strong background in production planning, logistics, and inventory control, we encourage you to apply. ```Duties:``` - Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to meet company objectives - Maintain job specific inventory and forecast production requirements for timely installation. - Purchase job specific materials. Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services - Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors - Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment - Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and plan production accordingly - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information - Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of goods - Stay updated on industry trends and changes in supply chain practices - Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors in a timely manner ```Skills:``` To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills: -Must have knowledge of all products used in the fabrication of architectural casework and millwork including plastic laminates, lumbers, veneers, solid surface, and others. - Will ensure the products meet quality standards and the project manager's schedule for production and installation - Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles - Proficiency in production planning and inventory control - Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing - Ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions - Knowledge of contract management and legal requirements - Experience with e-commerce platforms for purchasing activities - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping - Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and vendors If you are a proactive individual with a passion for optimizing procurement processes, we would love to hear from you.
