Job Description and Duties

Sacramento Communications Center is a PUBLIC SAFETY answering point. Public Safety Operators (PSO) answer 9-1-1, public, allied agency, as well as making outgoing calls to service providers, allied agencies and citizens. PSOs must document information in a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System accurately, quickly and take the appropriate action on each call.

Working Conditions

Sacramento Communications Center is on a alternate work week 12s/10s hybrid schedule with shift bidding done by seniority.
Employees work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. They are required to work overtime as needed. They must consistently report to work on time with a minimum of absences.
