Job Description and Duties

Operating the radio console for three Area offices, resident post, and commercial vehicle enforcement facilities. Answer 9-1-1 calls and takes appropriate action by creating a CAD log and routing it to the radio dispatcher or transferring to the appropriate allied agency. Assist allied agencies and the public using the VESTA telephone system. Enters vehicles, persons, and property in automated computer systems.

The position require the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. Benefits

The Indio Communications Center dispatch employees receive an additional $300.00 recruitment and retention monthly pay differential. Part-time and intermittent employees shall receive a pro rata share of the monthly differential based on the total number of hours worked within the monthly pay period.
