Summary:
- Assist NCIRD leadership with supporting the center led respiratory virus readiness activities.
- Work with leadership and staff to help set and advance strategic agendas to support the NCIRD mission and help determine priority and supportive actions items.
- Develop presentations, talking points, newsletter copy and other communication and partnership products, and tools.
- Maintain and align tracking across multiple systems of partner and communication events and engagements related to respiratory virus readiness.
- Assist partner and communication leads with internal and external communication and information transfer.
- Aide with facilitating partner communications and partner engagement. Help determine which partners to engage and how to engage them while working towards a unified goal.
- Assist with planning and execution of ad hoc and regular communication and partner meetings, webinars, calls, etc.
- Collaborate, coordinate, assess, and harmonize strategic workflows.
- Perform general project management duties.
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently, be solution-oriented, motivated, and committed to customer and company success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication ability.
- Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and work professionally and collegially with a highly educated, scientific customer base that is under pressure and in the public eye every day.
- Ability to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment while balancing multiple competing priorities.
- Prior experience working with at or with CDC.
- Experience providing support to internal and external partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ in public heath, epidemiology, or a related field with 5-8 years’ experience.
- Expertise in project management tools and software, including but not limited to: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and OneNote.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Clearance.
- Master's in Public Health or related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience
