As a Lead Budget Analyst within the Accounting department at the East Central Public Health District, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Job Responsibilities
• Under broad supervision, develops, prepares, analyzes, and/or revises n/a
large or complex budgets and supporting schedules for assigned
organizations or program areas.
• Performs review and analysis of budget program and policy issues,
analyzes financial trends or proposed legislation, and recommends
appropriate courses of action to management.
• Will serve as lead worker.
• Helps train others in the district.
• They will be the first line of communication for coworkers with work
activities and questions.
• Must have the willingness to go above and beyond to help in any area
including but not limited to assisting with Payroll as needed.
• Reviews and monitors UAS entries monthly.
• Assists District Administrator with reviewing and approving Journal
Entries, MIERS reports, Income and Expense reports, and other projects as
requested..
• Reviews current processes and determines if they could be adjusted to
create efficiencies for the Accounting Department.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration,
accounting, finance or related field from an accredited college or university
AND two years of fiscal analysis experience OR Associate degree in public
administration, business administration, accounting, finance or related
field from an accredited college or university AND four years of fiscal
analysis experience OR two year of experience required at the lower level
Budget Analyst 2 (FIP011) or position equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using M&M Accounting Software

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
