Job Responsibilities
Under supervision, provides assistance in monitoring and daily administrating of databases and servers. Works closely with the Software Analysts in designing applications. May provide technical assistance for projects. Appropriately documents databases with systems and user documentation. Provides database support for agency staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, or mathematics AND Two years of job specific experience.

Job Responsibilities

- Analyzes science, engineering, business, and all other data processing problems to determine feasibility and cost effectiveness of technology solutions
- Develops design solutions involving network services, analysis of systems, cabling, equipment installation/updates, and other design related systems issues
- Tests programs or databases, corrects errors, and makes necessary modifications
- Receives additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas
- Analyzes and tests multi-media communications circuits and cabling systems for proper operation
- May perform file backup and recovery procedures
- Performs diagnostic testing and problem determination on network and non-network communications equipment
- Tests network and data lines
