SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
Provides registration, cashier, community liaison, and operational/administrative assistance and support to the CTE Reskilling & Technical Center.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Serves Students. Responsible for AWC’s admission and registrations of Continuing Education customers as well as AWC walk-in students who need assistance. Responds to inquiries by phone and in person from students, staff, faculty, and other college departments, providing appropriate information on courses and services provided.
Receives and processes payment for all college monies including (but not limited to) registration fees, testing fees, graduation fees, and bus pass fees. Accepts third-party authorizations for student accounts and determines the amount to be collected from the student. Ensures proper general ledger account numbers are used for correct accounting of college revenues.
Provides general college and specific departmental information and assistance on Continuing Education and all other programs housed at Reskilling and Technology Center. Assist Specialists with outreach and recruitment activities, working cooperatively with partner agencies, educational institutions, and businesses.
Assists with posting to maintain accurate balances of the Auxiliary Fund accounts. As needed, processes Request for invoices, Request for Journal Entries, and Request for Refunds.
Aids with community outreach for Continuing Education promotion through advertisement platforms; Internet, television, radio, newspaper, multiple social media outlets, etc. Assists with creating flyers and marketing materials. Updates bulletin and office Informant boards.
Responsible for ensuring cash drawer is maintained with adequate change to cover business needs. Responsible for balancing cash drawers daily.
Assists Specialists with maintaining the database and housing FTSE statistics of all non-credit programs. Also, composing, editing, typing, and proofing correspondence, reports, memos, and other documents.
Monitor students and secure classroom labs; proctor students during testing; open up and/or lock up and secure building as needed; prepares learning materials for non-credit classes. Coordinates and assists with student testing at the Reskilling and Technology Center as needed.
Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
