Part-Time Front Office Assistant - Neuropsychology Office
AZ Briancare is a private practice specializes in offering neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy services for individuals affected by traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumors, dementia (Alzheimer’s disease), and other neurological disorders. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive care and support to our patients and their families.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced, hard-working, Part Time Front Office Assistant to join our team. As a Front Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. Your primary responsibilities will involve administrative tasks, patient communication, and maintaining accurate records. The right candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a compassionate approach towards our patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
Patient Interactions: Respond to patient inquiries, screen and schedule appointments, complete intake procedures.
Administrative Duties: Verify insurance coverage/pre-authorization requirements, prepare necessary documentation, maintain medical records, and communicate with referral sources, insurance companies, and ancillary agencies as required.
Office Management: Organize files/documents, utilize computer programs for administrative tasks, assist in maintaining inventory of office supplies and psychological tests, and light cleaning duties.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the providers to manage their schedule, collaborate with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and other stakeholders as necessary.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Associate degree or commensurate experience (bachelor’s degree in social sciences/healthcare is a plus)
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, insurance, pre-authorization, deductibles, etc., or a strong desire to learn and acquire knowledge in these areas is preferred
- Excellent telephone skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including office software (e.g., Microsoft Office & Google Suites).
- Empathic and compassionate towards patients and their families.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with patient information and practice resources.

- Schedule: Open to discussing work schedule; Clinic hours-Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
Travel: No travel required. All duties on-site.

Pay: $15-16/hour with potential for raises and bonuses.
