The Welltower Tax team is seeking a highly motivated and organized Property Tax Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, Property Tax, this newly created position will bridge the gap as a dedicated tax resource for investment teams and foster stronger internal and external (Operators) relationships. You will directly support the Investment Teams (IT) in preparing real estate tax liability projection reports and valuation forecasts. You'll be instrumental in centralizing tax data within Welltower Tax by improving asset management data warehousing and alleviating the Tax Manager's administrative burden. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Duties:
- Assist with the administrative process of Property Tax appeals and document management in WELL systems.
- Process data entry into WELL systems and manage data capture for periodical reports to internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Handle annual compliance and notice management.
- Support the preparation of tax projection reports and other required tasks for investment teams.
- Assist with maintaining a master list of the Welltower US & Canadian asset portfolio with real estate data metrics.
- Provide support with maintaining a master calendar for appeal due dates, assessments data, and real estate tax due dates.
- Capture all real estate data metrics from operators for all US & Canadian assets.
- Assist with real Property Tax budget & forecasting for Company assets.
- Research regulatory and legislative changes to real Property Taxes effecting the Company’s assets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-3 years’ experience
- OneSource or Optimus software experience preferred or related software/database knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in data management and reporting.
- Knowledge of Property Tax regulations, valuation and compliance preferred.
