Property Accountant

America West Properties, Inc. is seeking to hire a full-time, experienced Property Accountant to maintain financial records for a portfolio of properties, process payments and transfers, and assist in monthly budgeting activities.

Candidates will have the opportunity to work for a well-established commercial real estate company that manages over four million square feet of office, industrial, and retail assets. Responsibilities

• Property Accountants will be assigned a portfolio of properties to oversee and maintain financial transactions
• Daily recording of bank activity for each property, and weekly balancing of deposits and receivables
• Monthly entry and processing of property loans
• Daily processing of ACH payments for vendor invoices
• Monthly reconciliation of bank statements for each property
• Management of transfers between property bank accounts
• Monthly forecasting of expenses and receivables for each property
• Assignment of late fees, billbacks, and tenant charges
• Collaboration between Property Accountants, Property Managers, and Accounts Payable Specialists on a regular basis

Requirements

• Fully Remote position in California (Pacific Standard Time Zone Location Required)
• A minimum of three to five years of experience in a Property Accounting role
• Proficient in utilizing the Yardi software platform
• A strong attention to detail and high level of organization in daily responsibilities
• Knowledge of Adobe, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
