ResponsibilitiesHandle all AV set-ups for various formats in the Student Life Cinema.
Projects films and television programs using DCP, 35mm, Blu-Ray, DVD, VHS, or computer files.
Understand all format differences and projector differences for equipment in the booth.
Uses routing system for both audio and video to operate screenings in both main and phantom theaters efficiently.
Ensures that the quality of presentation is high for the entirety of a screening or event.
Communicates to AV Specialist for all equipment repair needs and AV issues that arise, troubleshooting on the go if a problem occurs.
Trains new staff on AV-related procedures.
Makes recommendations for Projection procedure changes to the AV Specialist.
Attends weekly Operations meetings.
Collaborates with the Media team to make suggestions for changes & improvements on video promos.
Provides excellent customer service to reservation contacts for main theater AV needs.
Maintains organization & cleanliness of all areas of stock, workspaces, and theater areas.
Participates in annual ASLC Staff Training.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with ASLC operations.
Preferred QualificationsLeadership experience
Prior ASLC programming experience.

This is a position in the Askew Student Life Center Student Union reporting to the ASLC Program Manager.
Interviews will take place in late January/early February 2023, training will take place in March/April 2023 with the position beginning summer/fall 2023.
