Responsibilities

The Programming Director serves as the head of the Programming Board and is responsible for ensuring a favorable vision for the department while leading weekly Executive Board meetings and weekly programming staff meetings to discuss upcoming events and updates. They will continuously assess events and programming processes to determine areas of improvement, successes, etc.

Meet weekly with the Program Manager.
Ensure that all programmers stay on task and effectively communicate with other departments.
Work with the Operations Director to make sure all staff members and volunteers are maintaining the organization and cleanliness of all of ASLC spaces.
Advocate for Programmers as it relates to attending conferences.
Oversee and manage the physical events calendar, the programming budget, SLC events, Trello Programming Board and the Programming Volunteer Board.
Write interview questions relating to the department during the hiring season.
Participate in the planning of GBMs, Volunteer Orientation, Fall Retreat, and Spring Retreat.
Update SLC Constitution when applicable.
Host 1:1s with programming staff and volunteers as needed and when expectations are not met.
Update training materials for volunteers as programming forms and processes change.
Advocate for the SLC with campus partners and external entities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Familiarity with ASLC operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Leadership experience.

Prior ASLC Programming experience.

Anticipated Salary Range

Starting rate is $13.50/hour.

This is an OPS/temporary job.

Based on the duties, this position may require completion of a criminal history background check.

This is an OPS position in the Askew Student Life Center- Student Union. This position reports to the ASLC Program Manager. Interviews will take place in late January/early February 2023, training will take place in March/April 2023 with the position beginning summer/fall 2023.

The weekly work commitment is 15-20 hours.
