Responsibilities- The Operations Director is responsible for fostering a welcoming environment for all members, both staff and volunteers, and ensuring the SLC is a safe space in which everyone can thrive.
- The Operations manager should be the ‘face’ of the SLC, and is responsible for planning Fall retreat, Spring Retreat, monthly GBMs, assisting with exec meetings, and planning both volunteer and staff interviews.
- Maintain constant communication with the Box Office/Concessions Head Manager, Projectionist, and Gaming Programmer regarding care and maintenance of equipment, ensuring that supply needs and servicing are communicated.
- Meet weekly with Program Manager. Assist in determining the yearly budget. Along with the Programming Director, regularly check to make sure all staff members and volunteers are maintaining the organization and cleanliness of all of our ASLC spaces.
- Write interview questions relating to the department during hiring season.
- Update SLC Constitution when applicable.
- Projects films and television programs using DCP, 35mm, Blu-Ray, DVD, VHS, or computer files.
- Understands all format differences and projector differences for equipment in the booth.
- Uses routing system for both audio and video to efficiently operate screenings in both main and phantom theaters.
- Ensures that quality of presentation is high for the entirety of a screening or event.
- Communicates to AV Specialist for all equipment repair needs and AV issues that arise, troubleshooting on the go if a problem occurs.
- Trains new staff on AV related procedures.
- Makes recommendations for Projection procedure changes to the AV Specialist.
- Attends weekly Executive Board meetings.
- Collaborates with Media team to make suggestions for changes & improvements on video promos.
- Provides excellent customer service to reservation contacts for main theater AV needs.
- Maintains organization & cleanliness of all areas of stock, work spaces, and theater areas.
- Participates in annual ASLC Staff Training.
- Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma
- Must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA while employed.
- Familiarity with ASLC operations
- Leadership experience.
- Prior ASLC Programming experience.

Starting rate is $13.50/hour.

The weekly work commitment is 15-20 hours.
