ResponsibilitiesAttends, organizes, and hosts weekly meetings, leading groups on select topics, including Film, Gaming, Social Media Team, Video Production, and Advertising and communications.
Follows deadlines for planning, scheduling, advertising, and events.
Creates annual goals for their specific program area and meets a minimum of 3 times per semester for 2 on 1 session with the program coordinator and their vice chair to check in on the status of projects.
Attends weekly Executive Board meetings, Programming logistics meetings, and general body meetings.
Oversees the budget for their particular area and serves as the direct liaison for co-sponsorships or interdepartmental collaboration relating to it.
Participates in annual ASLC Staff Training and annual ASLC Executive Board Retreat.
Trains Program Coordinators and general members on committee-related procedures.
Makes recommendations for Committee procedure changes to the Programming Director.
Collaborates with other chairs to make suggestions for changes & improvements on every aspect of the building.
Maintains organization & cleanliness of the Program Office.
Other duties as assigned – frequently include creating nomination lists, video editing, specialized projects like the Zine or Podcast, and event management. Sometimes includes tabling.
QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with ASLC operations.
Preferred QualificationsLeadership experience.
Prior ASLC volunteering or Vice Chair experience.

Starting salary is $13.00/hour.

This is a position in the Askew Student Life Center Student Union reporting to the ASLC Program Manager.
Interviews will take place in late January/early February 2023, training will take place in March/April 2023 with the position beginning summer/fall 2023.
The weekly work commitment is 10-20 hours.
