Your primary focus is to DRIVE THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION of PROJECTS, supporting the Sales Team, our Installation Team, & overall customer support though commissioning & startup support. In this role, you will provide guidance & training to Internal & External Team Members. COMMUNICATION IS KEY.
Responsibilities to perform a detailed analysis of each control system installed with respect to personnel & machine safety, overall system operational efficiency, company standards, & customer specifications are required. SUCCESSFUL PROJECT ENGINEERS will ensure SAFE WORK PRACTICESare followed, especially during the commissioning & startup of control systems. You will also support project investigations & service calls. You will become proficient in understanding automatedConveyor Systems & multiple equipment manufacturers. Your participation in Research & Development to support project designs, customer specifications, manufacturer requirements, & ancillary equipment operation is necessary. You may experience roughly 30% or more travel as needed.
- Review, Evaluate & Confirm project documentation & Lead commissioning efforts in the field or remotely
- Device configuration & testing including cameras, VFDs, PCs, Scanners, control cards, etc.
- Develop PLC & HMI applications per project specifications using division/industry standards & best practices
- Coordinate with panel production personnel in the fabrication of control panels
- Document changes made in the field for As-Builts & Assist in creating relay logic applications
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Additional Skills & Qualifications
AutoCAD Electrical / Control Panel Design / Relay Logic Design / Control System Design / Conveyor Control Design / QA checks for Control Panels & Conveyor Systems / Industrial Networks / Rockwell Allen Bradley PLC programming / Controls devices (VFDs, Keyence, MDR Cards, etc.) / Python programming language / Ignition HMI design / SQL / additional related systems & timeline responsibilities.
