Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan three times per week, at minimum.
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
The Role:
This role involves working with IT and other system entities in sustaining system functions as well as developing, testing, and executing future enhancements. This role also will require flexibility to occasionally work during alternate time zones to support other countries on a situational basis.
What You’ll Do:
Responsible for problem solving system issues that prevent claim processing for all Global business entities.
Participate in the development and execution of test cases dealing with projects associated with Global Warranty Management system changes.
Performs audit functions dealing with Global Warranty Management system for SOX/Access Control Lists.
Maintains Master Data such as parts, dealer information, and warranties.
Act as liaison with Finance team for monthly balancing, tax applications, and financial related tie outs.
Act as liaison with GM Sales Support System Group for new BAC and Business Unit set ups.
Convey to a multitude of different GM departments, the way Global Warranty Management system GMLID, SAP function.
Review and recommend changes for the future projects around Warranty Cost reduction or avoidance and ease of claim payment for Dealers and other business entities.
Interaction with supporting teams based outside the United States.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Information Technology degree, Automotive based degree, or equivalent experience
Working knowledge GM Labor Information Database, Global Warranty Management system, and SAP
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with focus on Excel
Strong knowledge of claim submission and reject-resubmission process used for GM warranty claim submission and vehicle systems as they relate the GM Labor Time Guide.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Complex problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Adept interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-culturally as well as cross-functionally.
An understanding of (or interest in learning) data structure, data interfaces, and systems landscape
Ability to function with limited direction, or in autonomous situations.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven commitment to teamwork and partnerships.

Accounting or Financial experience
An understanding of GM Dealer Information Databases (GMDID)
Understanding of Global automotive markets
Capable of strategic thinking and transformational point of view
Passion for innovation, automation, and technology
Understanding of Dealership operations and warranty claim processing
