To be a successful Project Manager I, you will need to have proven experience in effective time and resource management and the ability to lead multiple project teams of various sizes in a fast-paced work environment.
The Bank places high importance on its culture of employee engagement, and the Project Manager I is expected to facilitate and collaborate with their project teams accordingly. This position reports directly to the Director of the Project Management Office.
- Utilize and adhere to the Bank’s Project Management Framework for all assigned work
- Coordinate and manage multiple approved projects concurrently
- Escalate larger project issues and risks to management and governance committees for resolution
- Author and maintain all required documentation
- Ensure deliverables are completed on time and of the highest quality possible
- Facilitate engaging, informative, organized meetings and presentations
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Effectively provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders
- Manage and assign project tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Utilize best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Consistently monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to embrace different personalities and viewpoints to create a cohesive team
- Results oriented, highly organized, ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize time
- Proficient PC software skills required, especially with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
- Experience with maintaining confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information
- Desire to obtain a thorough understanding of bank processes and procedures to better advise on the most appropriate and efficient utilization of bank software and technology
- Works independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of, and interest in, the discipline of project management is a must
- Four year college degree preferred
- Willingness and enthusiasm for further industry training, development, and professional designations and certifications is essential
- Ability to effectively share learned skills with others
- Become familiar with and utilize established PM documentation templates and tracking software
- Assist in ensuring that the Bank is in compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Adhere to Bank Risk Management policies and procedures
- Interacts harmoniously and effectively with others
- Focus upon the attainment of bank goals and objectives through a commitment to teamwork.
- Conforms to acceptable punctuality/attendance standards as expressed in the Employee Handbook.
