The Project Management Director, Creative Studio, manages a team of Project Managers working on multiple projects across all Creative Studio pods. Projects vary in scope and complexity, but primarily focus on performance, social, eCommerce, internal comms, and sales enablement efforts.
As the Director of Creative Project Management, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously and be the common thread on projects, working amongst account managers, finance, strategy, production, and other Tag groups - keeping in mind timelines, budgets, and guaranteeing high-quality outputs from the Creative Studio.
The Director of Creative Project Management not only manages high level projects with various complexity levels, but also acts as the mentor and escalation point to the other creative project managers within the studio.
JOB DUTIES
PROJECT PLANNING
- Review new project requests and define milestones, build timelines, generate estimates, and communicate the project plan effectively to account teams and brand partners.
- Adapt pricing and estimates for clients based on media plans and other project details.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Lead a group of project/studio managers and help them effectively coordinate the artists required to successfully deliver the work in scope.
- Organize and chair team meetings: daily stand-ups, project kick-offs,
- Ensure that projects are properly planned, communicated, and progressed.
- Partner with other COEs at Tag, most often: Language, Adaptation, Shoot Production, Digital Strategy, Taylor James, and Digital.
PROCESS GUARDIANSHIP & ENHANCEMENT
- Lead with example in implementing Project Management best practices.
- Ensure their team follows best practices in a diligent and consistent manner.
- Contribute to improvements of tools and processes used in Project Management.
- Identify areas of improvement in the team processes and partner with creative operations to refine and improve workflows.
- Conduct diagnostic meetings with existing clients for process audits and required budget reviews.
MENTORSHIP
- Oversee the growth and development of direct and indirect reports.
- Identify areas of improvement for the team and provide the tools to overcome challenges and grow skills.
PROFITABILITY & GROWTH
- Work with production teams to facilitate most profitable studio production.
- Identify external vendors that expand Tag's capabilities or support with overflow support.
- Respond to RFIs/RFPs and work with account teams to increase business.
- Plan yearly scope of work/budget with clients.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- A combination of education and work experience can be substituted.
- 8+ years of experience in Project Management for performance, social, eCommerce and sales enablement efforts.
- 5+ years' experience as a people manager.
- Advanced understanding of Project Management tools.
- Demonstrated management of a P&L.
- Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to delegate, multitask, and prioritize workload.
- Polished presentation skills.
- Highly motivated organized leader.
The salary range for this position is $140k minimum - $160k maximum per annum. Compensation varies depending on location, job-related factors such as experience, responsibilities, and business needs.
